nah its not back. this is just like deception. once mk5 took that turn to "tekken" style fighting, the series went down hill. i did like deception, but thats the last one i played. i tried mk vs dc, but it seemed a little bland.

Never really been a fan of the MK games, mainly because of the blood and gore, but I kind of want this one, despite it looking quite disturbing.

Well, for me the classic style is back, the combos, the dark look, it all great by the way, that puke part was really good, lol, but the way that it is fast is that amazes me, they are doing a really good job. And what about those dolls at the end, i want them so bad.

I agree with this. They're keeping the modern look / graphics, but are bringing back the old game-play from the SNES era.

I was never really too fond of the recent games; they just didn't have the same feel as it's predecessors.

Noob Saibot is one of my favorite MK's character. The other ons is the Original Sub Zero. Oh! They are the same! >-p

I am also liking the fact they are using classic game play (even Noob's attacks are classics).
I'm just sad because I expected a trailer like the previous ones, telling Noob's story...
