Insomniac Games will be revealing its next PlayStation 3 exclusive sometime before PAX, where it will be demoed on September 4. Resistance 3 seemed like a safe bet, given that we've heard about its existence in more than one way, but it looks like another of Insomniac's big franchises could potentially be the reveal.

Ratchet & Clank voice actor David Kaye, who has voiced Clank since the series' inception (as well as Resistance's Nathan Hale), has inadvertently revealed that a new Ratchet & Clank game is in the works at Insomniac. In an interview with Shogun Gamer (via VG247), he said, "There are some interesting developments always coming from Insomniac games. We're working on more R & C currently." He also noted, "Don't know about Nate," when asked if he would be reprising his role as the Resistance protagonist.

A new Ratchet game from Insomniac isn't much of a shocker given how many games it has developed in the series, though it does make us wonder if we'll soon be hearing about Ratchet's next adventure instead of the next chapter of Nathan Hale's story.

Where's that Ratchet and Clank on the Xbox, huh? Thought Insomniac was going multiplatform with it or something.

I think Insomniac was gonna save the multiplatform deal for a new franchise.

Anyway, I'm always up for some new Ratchet and Clank, I guess. But it IS starting to get a bit repetitive...

Bungie is also going multiplatform, but that doesn't mean Halo will also be coming to the PS3. Microsoft owns the Halo franchise in the same sense Sony owns Ratchet and Clank, meaning neither of them will ever appear on the competitor's systems. Both Bungie and Insomniac will make new IPs for their multiplatform projects, as it has always been announced since the news broke out.

Yes! Ratchet and Clank is my favorite game series of all time and it's going to be one heck of game if it's going to top A Crack in Time!

The Ratchet franchise is owned by Sony so no way will it be going multi-platform any time soon.
