Beautiful! And it looks like you'll be able to choose to enter enemy encounters as they seem to be viewable on the field. I like that a lot. My first RPG was Mario RPG, and I have a bit of a dislike for random battles (although I don't hate them enough for it to ruin a game).

This game is coming out March 2009 in Japan. HOPE TO GOD this gets a US release!

Yes it will be released in US... and in EU too.

Btw, anyone here who is good at Japanese? On the game website with the official animated trailer on the front page it says first 3 in the middle of a couple of japanese letters then in the middle of a couple of other letters after 3 it says 25.

Does that mean 25th March?

Maybe. DQ VIII had special enemies that were visible on the field as well as the standard random battles.

This game does manage to look incredible for DS! And it'll look much better in-game. Magazine scans always distort the graphics.

The DS really excels at cel-shaded 3D doesn't it?

Best DS graphics this far, no doubt about it.

And what makes it even more cool than other RPGs on the DS and that is that the other RPGs for the DS are made as a DS game and what will make it less quality like a regular home console game, even if the game is good they don't put effort on it but now what they do is that they make the next MAIN game of the second best selling RPG of all time and make it AS a home console but put it onto a handheld console and this means the DS will finally get a game with same quality of a game and better game play and features etc.
