So in theroy adding to that list of playable systems it chould in theroy play psp an ds games since it seems like way powerful enough

kinda sounds like a super system .Just a quick question for any1 whould this be a good idea for me to get even though i got a psp an ds hacked an all but was never prudent at putting emulators on it an all O_O

Well, not DS games. No touch screen, thus most games would be rendered useless

As for PSP: It has twice the RAM, a 400mhz processor vs the PSP 333mhz, BUT the screen resolution is totally different, and what about the graphics cores?

With emulation though, you're not only running the game (which may take up all the original system's processing power), but you have to run a software version of the system itself, which is really cpu intensive, and there's an OS running in the background. So yeah, even if the Dingoo's specs appear more powerful than a PSP or DS, there's no way it'll be able to run emulators for those systems.

Same Here. I only gonna get this if i can play N64 games. Like Extreme G2.
Now it has enough buttons and stuff. Lets hope the graphics chip is better and the (400Mhz) doesn't turn up to be a rock in the way...

If they can make the A330 look exactly like a PSP, what stops Dingoo from making a DS-ish clone that has two screens with DS emulation capabilities? If patents were an issue, I don't think they'd be able to make the A330 look like a PSP clone...

my instincts are telling me it'll just override the 1p controls on the unit, but you never know I guess.

gbatemp got lied to, as did many other people. stay away from it, the official dingoo company have filed a lawsuit against dingoo tech and are releasing their own new dingoo in the coming months.

woah woah woah! ok, there's clearly a bit of legal argy-bargy going on between shenzhen dingoo digital, the company who originally released the dingoo, and dingoo technology, the company who have been producing dingoos since late last year, and released the y/b bug fix. i'm not going to tell people what to think by saying one company or the other is legit, and it doesn't seem like the matter is that clear cut anyway.

what i can say with relative certainty is that dingoo tech is comprised of a large number of staff formerly employed at dingoo digital, this is evident from dingoo-digital-usa at dingoonity, who bought the dingoos he resells at dingoo-digital-usa.com from them during their time at the original dingoo digital, and continues to buy the dingoos he currently sells from the same people under the dingoo tech company name.

of course the few who stayed at dingoo digital (only one of the original team, reportedly) own the website and are able to put up stories like the one you linked to, but dingoo tech have their own website, dingoo.hk. the simple truth is that there seems to have been a childish falling out.

as i see it, this doesn't make the a330 "fake", it is a legitimate console made by most of the same people involved with the a320. the only question mark is over the dingoo branding, but that's for more of a legal issue that will no doubt be sorted in due course than a clear cut 'fake' product. there is no 'official' dingoo company, in a practical sense, there is the one guy from the original team at dingoo digital who owns the dingoo digital trademark and website, and there is the rest of the original team who now operate under the dingoo technology trademark.

all this information can be found scattered around at dingoonity.org, if you search for dingoo-digital-usa's posts you should find plenty.
