Ok, let the guessing of codename begin.

So far, I could only think of ConTRol (like the others did) and CenTRe.

Nintendo Centre sounds like service centre or sth of that sort, so I'm placing my bet on Nintendo Control ... since 3DS is much more of visual control (as a matter of fact, distance and angle matters for parallax barrier technology if 3DS was to use it)

Why are so many people saying they like the name 3DS better than CTR when it clearly says that CTR is the codename >.>

the fact tht its jap supported is also good hence reliable... the most important has turned to be graphics rather than gameplay mainly bcz ppl said PSP was better due to its graphics (mainly) but i guess CTR is to change and overcome tht argument too

Why are people still listening to rumours? I think people need to remember that Nintendo has a good history of keeping their secrets and so instead of listening to rumours from people likely just trying to bring traffic to their site, just wait a week and Nintendo will give you all the information.
Also, it doesn't matter what CTR stands for, that won't be the in any way related to the final name as it's just an internal development code.
