I used a regular DS for many years, and one of its main uses was as a music player via Moonshell2, which I would make use of when sleeping. I finally upgraded to 3DS, but I have a new problem. After maybe an hour of playing music, the 3DS stops. When I open it up to see what happened, it has exited the DS cart and returned to the 3DS menu screen. This has happened about three times each, on two different 3DSes, and I have never once gotten music to play nonstop overnight like the DS would. This is important. What will fix this? (Sorry about weird editing but my phone absolutely hates this text entry page.)

the 3DS conveniently has a music player, you could try using it.
is the installation of moonshell on your 3DS new or the same you had on your DS?? IIRC moonshell has an auto-off function enabled on default settings.
did some message appear on the screen of the 3DS or just the menu??
also I doubt the 3DS battery would last all night long, but you can always leave it plugged.
