The question is... who's better? v0.29c by aumanx? Or HGG's Patch? And which is easier to install? aumanx has an easy installer which makes a lot easier... however HGG seems to have more things in english but looks complex to patch plus the game can hang even if the probability is low.

So what do you guys think?

well for me, I prefer team HGG's. It's more accurate than Aumanx's And more easy to do. mine got to the 5th star rank without any freeze. though they're both great translators anyway.

The only thing that may cause the game to hang is the plugin for the patch.
If you use the PC patcher it will not and no one has ever complain their game hang.

I see HGG has 2 versions of the patch... a plug in and an exe patcher. Which one did you go for?

... just tried the HGG and I seem to like it better. No hangs or anything yet. exe file patches faster than aumanx easy patcher. Only hassle was I still needed to download the NET framework stuff.

Overall both are great. I guess it'll depend on preferences...

If you do not want to install the net framework, you can try the pc patcher CLI.

WHY DOES NOBODY HERE PLAY MONSTER HUNTER?!?!??!

I do, but only when my friend who's a big MHFU-style of gameplay fan comes over.
It's just that I find the lack of story crippling, so I can't have that much fun playing MH games and usually drop them after less than 10 hours.
Don't get me wrong, I like both MHFU and MH3P, but to me, something like Lord of Arcana, Phantasy Star Portable 2, God Eater Burst plays way more fun due to the story driving me forward.
Anyway, I have x-link and USB2KAI.prx, so I think I can try my hand at online MH3Portable, as long as nothing goes wrong anyway.
