Hacking Monster hunter 4 Problem

Hey I have a old 3ds xl with a gateway on 9.2 and updated emumand. I have a legitimate copy of monster hunter 4 and it works fine EXCEPT for the 1.1 update. I download it and it dosn't read. I had this problem with SSB but it turned out I had a rom from the wrong region. But this is a legit game bought down the street so I don't know what could be wrong.

You cant play legit games in Gateway Mode, you have to boot with Classic mode.

It doesnt matter, the v1.1 update only really came with the Free Gift Pack which isnt available anymore.

You can still go online without the update, too.

It was my understanding that the free gift pack was available until March 15th.

Benopth, I had the same problem. I tried downloading the patch numerous times but it never registered. Try installing a .cia version of the patch. That worked for me.
