Please define logic of green = general public?

It's not the logic of greentext, it's an ambiguity instilled in the English language. "You" can refer to a certain person or to a congregation. In fact, it can refer to an anonymous subject aswell. It can also be used in defining general truths.

Examples:

If you eat too many apples, you will get a wicked tummy ache.

By saying this you don't necessarily mean that there is a person in your direct vicinity who eats apples right about now - everybody gets tummy aches when they eat apples.

Greentext is used whenever you want to add a general sarcastic remark, thus I utilized it here.
