QUOTEThe method of obtaining the files needed for this mod isn't completely legitimate obviously because it contains copyrighted materials [aka WAD files.]
It isn´t allowed to link them on GBATemp.

/edit BTW. cIOS38rev17 is out.

Nothing, just send a blank e-mail and get the link sent to you.

There have been a couple updates to things:

- Priiloader 0.3b has been released
- cIOS38 rev 17 has also been released

Just thought I would point that out, so they can be added to the guide

Having some issues with this step (for modify.zip):

> Run bannerbomb by going to the SD Card menu & choosing yes to load boot.dol/elf

This is after updating the System menu to version 4.2U. It freezes when I load SD Card...

Any Ideas?

Yes its for when you are on 4.2

Try a different version of bannerbomb or try a different sd card.
Link below is for alt versions of bannerbomb that might work on 4.2

Great...will try those. Anyone know why I need to re-banner bomb when the Wii is already softmodded? I don't quite understand this step.

Modify is mainly for wiis that are on 4.2 and have had 0 softmods done to them.

If your already softmodded and just updated to 4.2 you can skip whatever steps you do not need.

Use the left and right buttons on your wii remotes d-pad and change it until it says ios36.

Where can I get more info on what cIOS version is what? My Neogamma says it recommends revsion 17. This post recommends rev 14. What is the difference?

I am referring to this part of the tutorial:
I recommend the following for disc loading:
cIOS202[38+60]-v4.wad
cIOS222[38+37]-v4.wad
cIOS223[38]-v4.wad
cIOS249-v14.wad
cIOS250-v14.wad
IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad

Thanks!

R17 was released yesterday, NeoGamma has been updated to know about r17, the guide hasn't yet been updated. Try 17, if you have problems, install 14 instead. I'd stick with 17 though.

I had a 4.0E soft modded wii and decided to do this because I was having some problems.
Everything went fine but now the screen just goes black when I load Neogamma (channel or boot.dol).
I also can't load other loaders like usb loader.

Any ideas on what is going on?

Hello,
I'm modding my neighbor's wii. That they just got over the holidays. I've tried all of the alternative versions of bannerbomb on that page on their 4.2U wii, but it's still freezing. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
