I need some help. This has been happening even before 4.2U

So I had my wii modified to 4.0u and had the HBC, able to boot burnt dvds, etc. everything was working fine

Bought NSMBWii and wasn't able to play it and couldn't update the soft modded wii

Long story short, i reformatted my wii and updated it to 4.2U and lost all the modified content, whatever.

Then i found this forum to modify the wii 4.2 so i gave it a try

Downloaded the package to modify a 4.2 wii and put it on my sd card and was able to load the Bannerbomb but as soon as it goes to the page, i get the 'no known vulnerable IOS found on this wii" message

jgps2h.jpg

I followed the instructions for modifying the wii 4.2 and even printed out the instructions.

anyone help??? thanks

When it opens choose IOS36. (it is probably already set to that)
Press A to leave NAND emulator disabled.
Press A to open from SD slot.
Install cIOS202[38+60]-v4.wad
Install cIOS222[38]-v4.wad
Install cIOS223[38+37]-v4.wad
Install either cIOS249-v14.wad or cIOS249-v15.wad
Install either cIOS250-v14.wad or cIOS250-v15.wad
Install IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad

I have done all the previous steps but when I got to install my wads I have none of theses files mentioned aboved. Am I suppose to download them or create them from some program?
get them from the zip files provided
Im sorry I don't see the Zip Files I only see the two links they give me above like
http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios
http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/ha.../trucha-bug-4-2

I already did the trucha bug step and I did do the first link program but nothing shows up still.
you have a message m8

Just used this guide to update from 3.3e to 4.2e, but when I insert an original Wii Sports Resort disc it asks to update.
Is it safe to update off the disc or is there something I have done wrong??

Ah man you know what I do, I go to the priiloader hacks and enable the Wii disc updates. Then the wii doesn't since that the game has a update in it. Hope this helps you out.

Just delete ios30 with anytitle deleter and then reinstall ios30 with dop-ios mod. It'l work.

@aiden.22

If you have cIOSCORP installed (or SoftMii) you will not be able to continue. you need to install kosher IOS for the hackmii installer.

1) I recently modified my wii with this guide (14-11-2009), with great success to version 4.2. Now if i want to modify my wii with the newest guide (26-11-2009), i must update again to 4.2 and then modify 4.2 because i see more IOS files in the update procedure?

2) I didn't try to connect to the internet through my wifi before the modification and now i can not connect to it. It throws Error Code 51330 (Unable to connect to internet) if i have auto IP and Error Code 52130 if i choose manual IP and DNS.
I also changed the channel to 1 or 11.
I don't have gamecube memory inside the wii.
I set my router to access all MAC addresses.
I closed the firewall of the router.
I updated from version 4.0e to 4.2e with this guide and not from the nintendo.

Any help, thanks...

I'm probably showing my noobness, but when i run the bannerbomb, that's the screen i get right after i run it.

it doesn't let me add or delete any ios or anything, just shows that screen and lets me exit.

Hi y'all L3xii here, just wanted to thank all you guys who are helping lol. I would to if I was super smart lol

I know you guys are going to call me a noob and yell at me, but I've followed the Noob Starter Guide and this one. When I go install the WAD Manager, this is the error I get:

[+] Retrieving files list... ERROR! (ret = -1)

And yes, I followed all the directions word for word for restoring the Trucha Bug, I'm using cIOS32, and I used AnyTitle Deleter to delete the appropriate cIOS. If it matters, I used Bannerbomb to get Homebrew on my Wii, and I'm running 4.2

Let the beatings begin!

you have to put the wads in a folder called wad on the root of your sd card

I already did, I have coverfloader in there as a Wad file. I appreciate your help, any other ideas why I am getting that error? Is it possible my coverfloader wad is corrupt?

Ha ha ha! I truly am a noob! The folder HAS to be named "wad" not "wads". I'm a total idiot. Thanks for your help longtom1, your post put me on the right track.
