Hi,

My dad just called from Hong Kong and has bought me an NDS Lite + Superkey + Supercard Lite.
But he said the guy from the store told him you would not be able to play ROMS this way.
He said you need to have a modified DS Lite for that.

Isn't NDS Lite + Superkey + Supercard Lite enough to play ROMs?

I got a normal DS + Superkey + Supercard, and I didn't have to do anything with it to let it work.

Is this guy just looking for a way to get more money?
As far as I know, you only need to modify your DS if you don't want to use a superkey right?

Yes, you should be able to play backups without a modified DSLite.

edit Seems like I'm too slow today.

I suppose another way of modifying a NDS Lite is flashing it.... but with a supercard Lite, you don't need to.

Thats all you need... I dont know what he meant by "modified" ds?
Thanks for replying so fast!

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. Pretty weird.
The next time he calls, I'll just ask him to test it out and see if he sees the menu.

EDIT: We have been cheated so many times in Hong Kong already

Those people are so persuasive. Don't want to be cheated again.

They are horribly persuasive. The worst part was where I was in Hong Kong around the same time the GBA SP was released and I bought one generic looking blue coloured one. Then the next day, I see a limited edition Secret of Mana white GBA SP version which cost less than what I paid for the blue one.....
