Same here. There's a few manouvers I do with my fingers when playing CoD with the PS3 controller that I can't do with a 360 controller (like reaching my index finger around the controller to the D-pad in order launch a killstreak reward rather than moving my thumb). My only gripe is the PS3 L2/R2 triggers are a really stupid convex design. I bought little shoes for my controller to compensate for that, and I couldn't be happier. They make it feel more like 360 triggers (but slightly spongier), and let me play on Flipped controls (L2=ADS, R2=shoot).

Yeah the triggers are the only downfall.

360 controllers give my hand cramps and PS3 controllers just feel natural to me.

If so, your hands are morphed and twisted. The 360 controller is the ultimate FPS controller.

That's completely your opinion. The only reason why the PS3 controller is exactly the same as its predecessors is simply because of user request. If it weren't for the people who thought the PS controller was the best controller ever, the PS3 would've had some new controller (maybe that prototype batarang design if it was comfortable enough to make it to final release).

That's probably the best non-FPS example I can ever give. Ninja Gaiden is a complete JOKE using a PS3 controller. It's the most disgusting experience i've ever had with a controller.

But even the layout aside, the quality just isn't there. A 360 controller could be thrown in front of a train, and maybe get a crack somewhere.

But that's the thing. It FEELS cheap. It's definitely not as fragile as you think, I've thrown my controller at a wall once, and nothing really happened. While my brother managed to break his 360 controller by dropping it on the floor, and that was carpet. Yeah, my bro's controller broke because it hit CARPET. Also, *insert RRoD joke here*

Although the size thing is completely to do with their primary demographic. Not trying to be racist here, but Asians (or children) tend to be not that big, so the best controller would be one that fits in small hands. I personally don't have that issue, in fact I thought the Playstation controllers were somewhat big when I was younger (simply because of the left thumbstick placement. And I was one of those kids who played the original Xbox with the hugeass Duke controller).

And regardless of what you think, the controller choice is still opinion. The PS fans are practically in love with the controller, and get very upset when Sony shows change (example: PS3 prototype controller. Sure, maybe it did look uncomfortable, but barely anybody has ever held one in their hands so we'll never know how it actually felt. And many people were willing to give it a try).

I'm not trying to hate on the 360, I've been with the Xbox ever since its launch. Love the console, love the games. Personally had no issues with the original Xbox, so it upset me when my first 3 Xbox 360s RRoD'd.

I know this is going to become big debate but I'm giving my opinion anyway sense I'm a long time Call of Duty fan! The graphics on MW3 were slightly better but I can't say the same thing for game play online. On MW3 there is no marathon, no commando, all of the weapons kill almost instantly which makes defense very hard to obtain, the map readings are not accurate, and the overall customization menu for weapons and perks is just plain confusing. I mean seriously I look at the map and I go to the enemy red dot indicator and there is nobody there, the map does not read correctly, it's just a completely useless tool, however, on MW2 the maps are accurate and you have better options to select from that makes each gamers experience unique. The maps on Mw3 just suck and I was so bored when playing them, I feel like i wasted 60 dollars. It's just my opinion, sure there were allot of hackers on mw2 but that was easy to avoid and I never played with hackers much anyway, besides mw3 is already being hacked, I saw one guy using an all golden weapon. Also my father and I were online playing team death-match with split screen, and I shot this one guy carrying a riot shield in the face 6 times then he pulled out his shield and started backing up, my dad told me to keep shooting him so he could go around knife him in the back and the stab failed. This guy survived 6 Barret 50 Cal bullets and a stab, that's impossible in real life and in the game!!!! It's pathetic that hackers are already on the mw3 lobby. To sum this up, I think mw3 is complex, boring, and a cheap imitation of Mw2. Mw2 is much better, and when I went to play it today there was nobody playing, I sat there for 30 minutes to get one game in. I can't believe people like this crappy game so much that they just bail on Mw2! What's your opinion of the online game play on Mw3, I say it sucks major donkey nuts

1. Marathon=Extreme Conditioning
2. The removal of Commando was for the better. IW got so many complaints about Commando's knifing range. But the effect of Commando Pro was moved to Dead Silence Pro.
3. The guns kill just as fast as MW2, unless you have a really horrible connection.
4. I can't think of anything for your minimap issue. Unless there are people above/below you (such as in buildings or underground tunnels).
5. Pretty much everybody's reaction when something changes. If it's new, hate it until you get used to it. That shit happened to YouTube and Facebook whenever they changed their appearance.
6. I haven't encountered any hackers on MW3, but I can't say the same for neither COD4 nor MW2.
7. Gold weapons aren't hacks. You unlock gold camo at weapon level 31.
8. You likely missed all of those shots, and likely were too far for the knife (hinted by your Commando complaint). That, or he had the Juggernaut killstreak, which decreased the damage of all of your attacks.
9. Complexity isn't a reason to hate a game.
10. What the hell were you expecting with MW3? It's practically the same game, but with some improvements.

it seems there is quite a debate going on that seems rather pointless so I'm going to lay it straight from a pc perspective.
1. pc has dedicated servers as well as IW net so you get the same multiplayer as the consoles as well as custom dedicated servers which will in a while hopefully get mod support [though all cod mods are on cod 4 which is why it's so popular on the PC still]
2. you can't use a controller on the PC, unless you use a program to set the keyboard and mouse controls to a controller [I find it very shitty as you can't change sensitivity on the fly and just doesn't feel right]
3. there is no auto aim when looking down the sights [well not as much as there is in the consoles, so quick scoping and noob aiming is much harder
4. hacking is a problem on MW3 as aimbots and other hacks are much easier to get as it doesn't require a modded console, while it isn't as rampant as it was about 3 weeks ago [I literately couldn't go into a game with out 1 hacker], it has gone down drastically with constant patches [though there is one or two games with a hacker when I play ground war], as for ps3 I know it's there but I doubt there are a lot as it requires an older firmware modded to work online. Dedicated servers are nice as mods can instant ip ban hackers though dedicated servers not that popular as of yet and the most popular are faux 999,999,999 xp servers.
5. MW2 sucks on PC [LAGGGGG] so don't get it MW3 fixes some of the connection problems but it does come up [though it's no different if not worse on ps3], so a wired connection is recommended if not required to escape most lag free games. And MW 2 is a less balanced game when compared to MW 3 [to be honest MW 3 fixes most of the complaints of MW 2 but it still has it's own fuck ups {goddamn akimbo FMG9}]
6. PC does not have elite, and if it get's released it will only have free option which is really useless unless your uber pro [if you where then you would have it all ready on 360], the cost of map packs on PC are unknown as we don't get the elite year option for free mappacks like ps3 for $50 [other wise it's 4 map packs of 5 maps for $15 each for a total of $60], but it's activision so expect them to price them the same and released much later than console versions as there last middle finger to the PC crowd.

Overall I would recommend it on PC but at this point why not wait for the next COD it will be an update to BLOPS which in many ways is MW superior [IMO] with far better balancing but horrid lag, but it's up to you I spent my money and don't regret it [it came with cod 4 for free when I per-ordered it on steam, that's what sold me on MW3]

I wasn't affected by either of those, yet I was affected by the RRoD several times. Regardless, I'm still a fan of the Xbox. I'm just against people hating on consoles for ignorant reasons (i.e. Hells Malice blocking out everybody's opinions and claiming that his is fact).
