Use 90DNS. It allows you to connect to internet without connecting to Nintendo servers. If you mean connect to nintendo servers, there's the normal way, but you run a risk of having your homebrew stuff getting detected depending on what you did.
If you're using CFW, you need to use 90DNS and/or Incognito to prevent being banned.
If you want to use online play, you need to use a clean NAND for it, and you should do all of your hackery on an emuNAND.
