Hacking Modding a phatty

Alright I have a red dsphat, the mario kart one to be exact.

I was wondering what all the possible modding to the console itself I could do?

Does the hardware fit in ds light cases, can I buy a better(colored, transparent) case that is good quality?

Any links would be helpful.
Completed phat project pictures are also helpful.

well you could buy a transparent case and put leds in it, but there don't seem to be much transparent cases out there...

to jasper, I don't have the experience to throw led's on, my dad could but why bother. Although I kinda wanted a transparent case.
