I got my DS Lite along with my DSTWO.
How do I put the Nintendo DS Download Play on my DS Lite now?
This allows downloads from friends, etc of games I do not have.

Thanks and let me know.
You don't put it on your DS lite. It's already there, on the main menu...

Your friend turns on the game and finds the demo or multiplayer or whatever the Download Play feature is used for in that particular game. Once they are hosting the game room, you pick DS Download Play, select your friend's game room, and the demo/multiplayer section will be sent to you. It will be gone when you turn off the DS.

Wait, seriously? 2 things:
1, do you seriously think we don't know what DS Download Play is?
2, if you looked at your DS' home screen for 5 seconds you'd figure that out yourself.

When I click on DS Download Play, it takes an awful long time, does it usually take that long?
Or is there something wrong I should interrupt?

Is your friend sitting next to you, sending his demo/multiplayer data?

OK.
I will need to go to my friend's house, then.
That's what was missing to download games.

Also, once I play a game, will I have the option to go back to the home screen or ill I need to utrn off the ds and restart?

I am set to Manual, not Auto mode.

Thanks so much.

You need to be in Manual, or you won't see the main menu, which has the DS Download Play button.

Once done playing whatever you receive via DS Download Play, you'll need to turn it off.

I'm getting the impression you intend to download full DS titles through DS Download Play with your friend's help. That is not at all what happens with DS Download Play. You temporarily are sent data from one of their games so that you can play the demo version, or join them in a multiplayer round of one of their games. You do not keep the games, and the DS Download Play versions of whatever you play are generally severely limited compared to if you had the same game and were to join his multiplayer round.

If you just want to play with your friend over a long distance, that's what WiFi multiplayer and friend codes are for.

Thanks so much for the education re: DS Download Play.
Now, what are cheat codes (not friend codes) and how do you get them? Where do you download them from?

You can download them from filetrip... for akaio, open _aio, download a cheat file from filetrip...MUST be usrcheat ! Inside _aio there is a [cheats] directory . Delete the one inside and replace it with your new usrcheat. To access cheats, Press Y on the highlighted game and then X
