Hacking modchipstore update

I have also had problems with this guy. I have been waiting impatiently for the wiikey and decided to cancel my order on a Sunday evening and take my wii to a local guy in San Francisco to do the mod for me for 110 bucks (wiikey included). I submitted a 2 tickets to cancel the order at around 6pm PST on 3/11 and he immediately processes my order at around 8pm PST. I send him another ticket threatening him not to ship my product as it would be impossible to do so on a Sunday evening, or I would get my credit card company involved. Now my order has shipped today with an estimated arrival of friday. I ordered the wiikey on 3/3, so I am no where near the first batch. IT seems like he bumped me up to the first batch so to keep my money. I hope he doesn't screw me over and send me an empty envelope like another user had happened to him. Needless to say, this will be my last purchase from that jerk.

wtf? I should do the same like what you did, threaten them to cancel the order and i will be on the second half of the first batch. I ordered it March 7th. The estimated shiping date is March 9th to 12th, which is today, but i don't see the status get updated today.

that is NOT a fake, the 102 thing is simply a different marking scheme on the resistor.. nothing more nothing less, its legit and is the same as the other "non-fake" wiikeys. was discussed elsewhere, i dont really acre to look for the posts but i dont know if it was on gbatemp or wiinewz

It's been confirmed that it's the fake wiikey. They use very cheap board and the 102 and the one on the original wiikey is the same, but different labeling.

thats music to my ears! i'm installing my new DVD burner today... printed up 35 covers and got slim line cases for them, so this will give me time to burn them... right now i have maxwell dvd+r, so i hope those work, if not, oh wellz....

actually there is a debate on these two products. Some say it's clone, but some said it's not, what's your opinion?

top picture (real) looks to be lesser quality then the darker fake hehe, prob just the photo though. looks like their pretty much same, pcb routed exactly the same, chip points are the same, if the fake can accept wiikey updates i'd wouldnt mind a fake. wonder if theres any downside to the fake like flashcarts or bootleg games, would suck if it didnt accept updates or gave tons of dre or slowdowns

So they must have received there second shipment as i ordered mine way past the 1st shipment cutoff

I am so upset, read tons of bad stuff about modchipestore site, so I didn't order from them. I ordered from FoundMy on 3/6, and it is still to ship.

I am hoping that it ships tomorrow, as I understand it is back ordered. But, now I am just kinda upset that peeps are getting this chip ordering from other sites quicker.

Goes to show, you shouldn't always go with what you read.

I ordered a R4 card from them....no problems at all. Only thing I didn't like was their inventory isn't realtime.

i ordered a couple or x3ce xbox chips from them recently and they were fast, reliable, and a little cheaper than from the previous place i ordered from, also shipping was cheap to 7 bucks or something dhl.

Everyone has to remember, they are most likely getting tons of orders for wii chips along with a ton of email asking, "when is my order coming, i placed it 5 minutes ago, i want it now, now, now"...*then drops to ground kicking and screaming like a 2yr old*

exactly! it looks identical as far as this goes, just simply looks to me like theres a different light source, and the camera's no at an angle so its not getting a reflection from the solder to make it bright like. thats about it, and like i said the labeling on the resistor is the only damned difference. anyway back to the topic of people being angry at modchipstore

I was initially going to order from modchipstore because it was in U.S. but after reading bad reviews I ordered my wiikey from eurasia.nu on 6th 10AM US EST and received a tracking# on 7th 5AM US EST. I received the air mail today (14th) so it only took 5 business days from Thailand to Eastern U.S. Great seller! I have tried 3 games so far and the wiikey works great!
