So in the latest issue of ONM Australia, they had an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto. They were so generous as to actually release his Mii's QR Code!

So, here it is!

Hopefully they should work. I don't have access to my SD card for the original, so these should do.

If it doesn't work, try scaling it down to a smaller image.

Well, a lot of "official" ones from people who work at game companies are.
That Mii probably looks like Miyamoto's Mii but it definitely isn't.
And yes it works, the second picture worked right away while I had some trouble having the first one to work though.

The official ones do have golden pants. Also, they cannot be shared via QR code. This one is a fake or a copy.

He said something about not releasing his personal Mii at E3 (I think, it may've been somewhere else).

He said the one he carries around is not actually his personal Mii

Awww man. I want his real Mii, or Reggie's. That would be so cool.

Wait, if you can't get his Mii through StreetPass or QR, how can we, as 3DS owners, enjoy the magical-ness of his golden pants?

According to Wikipedia so take it as you will:

"Currently, only two special Miis have been released by Nintendo. For a limited time between March 13 and March 29, 2007, Wii owners in Japan were sent Mii versions of the famous Japanese comedian Sanma Akashiya and ex-tennis player Shuzo Matsuoka." "Their Miis feature gold pants, as opposed to a gray pair, and cannot be edited or copied."

Maybe they just made a Mii that looks like Miyamoto and you read it wrong?

"The gentleman from Nintendo informed us that the only way to know that these Mii's are legit and are not fakes is that they wear gold pants and you cannot create a QR code for them," wrote Dustin. "Meaning you cannot share these Mii's with other people. You can give them to somebody else, but then you would lose them from your plaza."
