Ok so, I bought Mirror's Edge on Steam the other day, and the game crashes right after the splash screen. I tried every solution I could find online except for the cracked version that skips the intro. I was wondering if any of you guys got it to work? Oh yes, I'm running Win 7 64 bit.

This may solve your problem.

From the link he posted:
I was searching for the other things I tried when I found one other thing I could try to make it work, and it worked.

Here's all I had to do; change the resolution to 1680x1050.
This can be done in steam under launch options: -w 1050 -h 1680
or in TdEngine.ini by changing
ResX=1600
ResY=1200
to
ResX=1680
ResY=1050

My res is 1600x900
Change the resolution until it works, then. Just go and try all the options your monitor can handle. If that doesn't work, I suppose you'll have to just go and remove the into via the cracked version thing.
I also heard that Kaspersky caused problems. I sort of have that. I installed it on a long deleted User account but the way Windows is it runs in the background but I can't find the uninstall option. As I have said before- if I had a Ruble for every Windows bug, I could buy Microsoft.

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    @Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

    Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
