Is there a reliable way to downgrade Minecraft Wii U Edition to any version without the prompt for updating appearing.

I've tried using an alternative dns.
Uninstalling and Reinstalling with the update
And nothing seems to work

Why do you need to downgrade?

NO! Doing help for stuff like this in discord is how that info inevitably dies! Help them here, so that others that need to downgrade their Wii U games can find the solution with Google or other search engines.

If I remember correctly what I use to do when I didn't want it to prompt me for updating the app I would edit the title version in a game's app.xml to 9999. Don't quote me on that seeing as my memory is pretty close to vague when it comes to recalling it.

Ahh another thread ending with no solution so sad

Install the base game, download a specific update version and launch the game when not connected to the internet.

That's the easiest way to do it without messing with the versions.bin or the title's XML file.

There's your solution, exactly one reply above yours:
edit the title version in a game's app.xml to 9999
Another way would be to edit the versions.bin like described here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-edit-the-versions-bin-tutorial.601092/

Yet another way is what Korozin told:
launch the game when not connected to the internet.

So how many solutions do you need? ;)
