Gaming Minecraft java problem

Hello tempers,

A friend of mine has been playing minecraft for some time now but everytime he starts minecraft java comes up with an error saying: could not create java virtual machine, fatal error shutting down program.
I have been searching google for some hours now and I couldn't find any solution so you guys are my last hope.
Could someone please tell me how I get rid of this error.

Uninstall all copies of Java that show up in the Programs And Features section of the control panel and then install the latest Java 1.7?

Follow their advice. Or try running Minecraft with admin privileges if you are too lazy to do what they say as first resort.
