Nothing too major, the weather is overrated but looking forward to the booster rail and the stats and achievements. Sadly I just downloaded mods, time to get rid of 'em =(.

Well you're not going to get a good feel of the game if you only played it for five minutes. That's like saying a movie sucks after only watching the first five minutes.

what do you do then? i personally drop it.

To get a good feel of a game like minecraft, you have to play it for a solid 30 minutes. It also helps if you learn how to do stuff beforehand.

True, until the 1.4 update I could never get into it but then I watched one of the "survive your first night" videos on youtube and found the Wiki. Once it's out of beta it really, really needs a short tutorial level or friendly NPC to turn up and show you things on the first day.

Yep! Youtube "How to survive your first night in Minecraft" Also on the official Minecraft site.

Weird bug I found whilst completing the small amount of achievements currently available:
    Warning: Spoilers inside!

I can't even work out where this bug is from, I see torches but I don't remember that place.

the game is sort of a "niche" thing

not everyone will enjoy it like the fans of minecraft, some people waste days/months on in and can't wait for new updates, others waste a couple of hours doing everything possible and then stop, and others look at it for the graphics or gameplay point of view and decide this isn't worth their time

it's a sandbox experience, not a proper game. The lack of objectives turn some people off I suppose

Nissssssssssssssssssssssssssssse bug you have there, it'd be a shame if anything happened to it!

It might be a chunk from a previous world -- this happens alot when you delete a world and recreate it with the same name.

Reminds me of my friends, I told them to try it out and they said they would watch youtube videos, speak to them later and they're like that's shit, made them play it, they are now addicted!

    @Sausage Head

Did you even notice the most epic thing on that pic? The creeper ofcourse =D Oh and I never made a world with the same name. Only have 3 worlds atm, 1 of mine, 2 of my friends.

You're telling me, I had a bunch of mods for 1.3 (I'd say about 20-40 mods), hadn't even finished updating them to 1.4 yet. Oh well, it will be nice to be back in the Vanilla game, though I wish there were some friendly mobs.

I played for a week and didn't like it. Personally, I thought it was overrated and very boring.

Well, there's the dogs/wolves that are friendly once you give them some bones.

Hmmm, I had a lot of problems with this so far... Can't press ESC to get some kind of menu or anything :/ (to get to options, quit the game, etc.)

I should have been more clear, I wish there were more Humanoid Friendlies/neutrals as well as friendly (not neutral as with every non-evil mob right now, excluding the wolf) non-humanoid mobs.
