Gaming miitopia spotpass not working?

i have my 3ds connected to the internet, yet when i try to get recommended miis, it says "Unable to gather data." or something along those lines, can anyone help? thanks

i have the dns blocked, i doubt im banned... spotpass works on all other games... maybe its because im playing the eu version on a US console?

That's most likely a region issue, because I had the exact same issue with the eur version on my us 3ds. On I CBA grabbing the game again.

yeah, i went ahead and downloaded the us version. i havent tested it yet.

I noticed that my 3ds says that it has no connection, even though I connected it yesterday. Maybe that's why?
