There's an update for Mii Plaza. I updated but didn't spot any changes. Are there visible changes?

Could simply be blocked out flashcards (3ds link, gateway 3ds and r4i gold deluxe). Emunand on flashcards has been confirmed not working with mii plaza

He is talking about the Mii Plazza update, not about the system update

maybe they patched an exploit in mii plaza ... but I doubt it.

maybe the update was for streetpass weekend, and to fix bugs in the street pass games

It added support for nintendo network account. If you do not update you can't buy new game modes.
