Update: This is actually possible.
The thing to note is that, when using Waninkoko non d2x cIOS's, the nand has to be in the root of the usb drive and not in a sub-folder. This is what wasn't working for me.
With this, just point Mighty Channels to the slot where you have your 38rev17 cIOS and it will work and load problematic games like Majora's Mask.
Hi themanuel,
As I already had the Nand in the root of my HDD, when I read this I decided to try! I downloaded cIOS248-r17 with ModMii, installed it to the slot 248, edit the XML argument and launched Mighty Channels. Pressing the Home Button I confirmed that I was using IOS248-rev17. But the N64 games that should work, did not work! Also, the ones that worked before, freezes when I press the Home Button, where I can see the operations guide, reset or return to the wii menu. See the results:
IOS249, rev21006:
Wave Race 64 -> Works, Home Button works
Cruis'n USA -> Doesn't work
Paper Mario -> Doesn't work
Zelda Majora's -> Doesn't work
IOS248, rev17:
Wave Race 64 -> Works, Home Button freezes the system
Cruis'n USA -> Works, Home Button freezes the system
Paper Mario -> Doesn't work
Zelda Majora's -> Doesn't work
I tried Mighty Channels versions 11.1 and Beta 5 Mod, both with the same results. Also tried to launch from within Wiiflow, selecting IOS248, which gave me a black screen since it is not a d2x cIOS.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do to launch these games in Mighty Channels? Is it normal to the Home Button do this when using cIOS rev17?
Thanks!
