Commemorating the upcoming release of Dune: Part Two, Microsoft has announced some pretty interesting news.

First off, the Dune expansion pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator, giving players the opportunity to fly an exotic space dragonfly thing over the hellscape that is Arrakis, known as Dune. Land of sand. Home of the Spice melange. And so on, you know the drill.

This should be a unique new experience for new and old players alike, because who knows how one of those things works and handles. The team had to invent a whole new physics model for the craft, which is roughly half dragonfly, half rocket, half glider plane, and half elephant. Should be a fun experience.

I wonder if they included sandworms. Bless the Maker and His Water.

Second thingy:

Exclusive Dune 2 themed Xbox and ornithopter-shaped stand (see top image for details). The chubby chibi little ornithopter is a docking bay of sorts but there are no details on whether it will have any additional features or just serve as a decoration and airflow-restrictor. The Xbox goes in its butt cargo hold.

Thirdly: a levitating controller stand comprised of a floating platform and sand-hillock-shaped base, evoking imagery of awesome craft hovering above the dune sea, completely ignoring the fact that SUSPENSORS USE HOLTZMANN FIELD GENERATORS AND INTERACTION WITH SAND PRODUCES VIBRATIONS THAT ATTRACT EVERY WORM IN THE AREA AND DRIVE THEM MAD WITH AGGRESSION, YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST BEGGING TO FACE THE WORM ahem, it's fine. It's fine. It's just an interesting design, that's all.

And d): the exclusive console bundle will be available only as a prize in the promotional giveaway, and will not be available in retail. For now. So feel free to enter the sweepstakes (if you are eligible), and good luck.
