Hey!

I've read a lot that mostly all microSD readers you get with diffrent flashcards is really crap and can mess up your microSD card, how much does that correspond with the reader your nowadays get with the Cyclo? Not the old blue one but the new silver one with black lid and cyclo ds written on it?

Is it safe to use?

I always use mine, but some people have reported problems. Buy a separate one if you aren't interested in the chance of a corrupt SD card.

Otherwise I will use the memorycard reader in my printer.

I use the silver one, 2 different cards so far, no reported problems.
Just have to remember not to jam the card in up-side-down.

I've had 4 silver readers, they all worked fine. The one I got 8 months ago is working fine, as well as another one that came with my 'replacement' cyclo ~4 months ago, still fine. The other two + cyclo went out to 'other' people. Apparently the newer ones seem to be more error prone, there were more complaints about it recently than before.

My silver reader that I got with my replacement Evolution seemed kind of flakey. It never worked properly under linux, and had some problems under windows.

OTOH the cheap translucent blue plastic one that I got with my original Evolution works fine, although I keep looking for a decent X - in - 1 card reader for my desktop.
