Hacking MicroSD for R4 will not free up memory, help!

So, I was going to add a different game to my Kingston 2GB MicroSD. However, when I deleted the file on the card, it didn't free up the room. It's really weird, and highly annoying. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

How do I do that? ^^; I'm fairly new to the microSD thing.

reformat is the key.. right click the card chose format then start it.

This one time i was deleting stuff from my R4 and then it wouldn't free up space.
Then i realized that it went to the recycle bin inside the folder o.o;; so the files were still in the card, but in the recycling bin.
maybe that's the problem? i dunno.

that actually WAS the problem >.>; what a useless folder, haha. I mean, when I tell it to take something off of the card, I don't mean move it to another location >.>;;

If you're using windows, holding shift as you press the delete key will permenently delete the file, instead of moving it to the recycle bin.

same can be said for mac osx users.


after you drag to trash, make sure you empty the trash as the files will still occupy the memory card until you do.
