Hacking MicroSD Card Manufacturer?

Hi everyone, im new here, and I tried searching, really I did. So I apologize in advance if this has been posted before...

My R4 should be hitting me anytime soon, I got it from realhotstuff.com with a 2gb sandisk microSD card.

My question is, does the manufacturer of the SD card make a difference? I remember reading that some games wont boot with types that aren't kingston? Castlevania I beleive it was.

If some people can shed light on the subject, id greatly appreciate it.

Cant wait to get my R4 and start having fun!!!

You are correct. Get a Kingston.

I hope I didnt just waste my money getting the Sandisk bundle. Are they known to cause problems?

Just to Castlevania: PoR. Everything else is good.

I don't think so. There is an ARM7 patch for I think Zelda. But I don't think that there is any for Castelvania.

So zelda has issues with Sandisk too? im just trying to get it all sorted so I can just plug and play the bish. I'll need to find that patch.

There is a thread in this section that discusses the ARM7 patch. I didn't read it yet. I don't have Zelda. But you may want to check it out.

the only problems you'll get is stuttering and mabye freezing in POR, and slowdowns in tony hawk downhill jam

Happens on a Jap Kingston 1 gB too, pretty sure its with every card. (It actually only slows down with 3+ skaters on the screen)

Format your Sandisk in FAT32 + 64k Clusters.

Castlevania: PoR will run perfectly or with minor problems.
