Gaming Micro SDHC issues

Well, my USB Adapter will not be recognized in the computer anymore. I have another Micro SD Adapter, but it won't read SDHC micro sd cards. I tried downloading two hot fixes, installing it gives me "Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of the system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update". The micro sd card is not fried (thank god).

Any ideas?

Get a microsd card reader off of dealextreme for like two bucks
