I have very recently modded my New Nintendo 3DS XL, and I'm looking into getting CFW on my Wii-U now.
I have a few questions I hope someone in here can help me with.
First, the size compatibility. On Amazon, I have found a 1.5TB MicroSDXC memory card. And I am wondering if that huge size matters. I am aware that anything higher than 32GB has to be formatted to Fat32, However I am not sure as to the exact size that goes up to. If I buy the 1.5TB card and format it to Fat32 for my Wii-U, it should work, right?
Secondly to build off of that. I have read conflicting reports online about how the Wii-U reads external storage devices. Some sources say that I will need a USB SD card adapter to get it to work properly, because the Wii-U apparently only uses the SD card for Mii data, save data, etc; but will read the USB adapter as an external storage drive. Other sources have claimed that using just the SD card slot will work just fine, so I'm also looking for clarification on that.
I intend to use the CFW to install Wii-U, Wii, and GameCube games on my Wii-U. I am aware I need Nintendont for the GC games, and an adapter for the controllers. I am wondering if that has to be a Wii menu hack on the Wii-U, or if it's on the main Wii-U. And if it operates outside of Aroma.
