Basicly Micro$oft are making mice using BLUE tech. More useless stuff.
It'll cost about $79 or $99 and will be available in the US in november.

Its as if EVERYONE is releasing new hardware recently. Whats wrong with laser mice?
I prefer lasers to blu-ray, now they're making blu-ray mice?
Oh well. I'm not getting one, and its therefore your choice.

Why post this in the user submitted news forum? It has nothing to do with gaming so it won't end up on the front page (read the description for this forum)

They should put Apple's logo on it. Then it would sell like crazy.

OMG ITS SO INNOVATIVE! DID YOU GUYS PATENT IT YET!??

    Lol, pretty useless mouse.

Don't you get tired of cleaning out the gunk in it all the time?
And I don't really see how this Blu-mouse will improve anything, optical or laser mice are just fine.

i got a wireless optical mouse, and it lasts more than 6 months at an average of 6~7 hours a day in use.
and that's with 2 rechargeable AA batteries.
that means changing batteries once every ½ year, and not spending much more than the regular electricity bill.

good thing is they usually also give an alert light a few hours before the batteries run out, and i got 4 rechargeable batteries so i always have a set of charged ones ready.

I'd say that's a pretty big change IMO. It means people can now use mouses on leather chairs, which considering the internet is slowly becoming TV bound, will be a pretty useful thing in the future.

    What so bad about enhancement?
You know, everything always evolves.. and this IS better than the current laser technology (look at the teej's point)
In 30 years i bet we wont sit with the laser mices we got today.. it'll be better.

I for one like the possibility of usage on carpet, etc.

I have a mario paper mouse mat that doesnt work with my current optical mouse... current tech is not the pinacle. Of course I have no intention of spending that amount any time soon on a replacement mouse.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying the optical mouse isn't bad, I'm just simply pointing out the advantages of this technology (which people were claiming was none, which is untrue).
