ROM Hack MHX Save Editing

Anyone else getting talisman edit to work properly?
I've used MHX Save Editor 0.24 to add some talismans that are verified that they exist (did some Google search for that), but all of these just ends up with everything "----".
Could it be that there's a specific talisman table per save file like in MH3G and game checks against this?

Eh, Idk. I used a save editor for 3U, and I made talismans that are ungodly. So I dont think it uses the same system, as I would have been able to do the same thing here in X.

燼滅刃の甲殻
斬竜の炎状殻

But the weapon is not in the list although I have all required items in the box.

You need to analyze the flag for the weapon like Item box code.
basically you must clear some quest for open the weapon.

some sites give some wrong maximum values, for example this site https://www.dopr.net/formonsterhunter/【MHX】お守りの性能・入手法まとめ　護石のスキルポイントの最小値＆最大値など gives many wrong values. i know because i tested some of the values myself with ram editing.

Mmm, I tried the ones that had screenshots attached to it (with MHX specific armor equipped so they're definitely legal MHX values), and it still gave me the error values.
Maybe I should try the other save editor...

the value is just copied from MH4G (MH4U) database. so not useful l atm.

note that in some interfaces the values can be shown. for example, the skills and values are shown when you are swapping items in the equipment box or are selling them, but are shown as "--------" when you are equipping them.

First got https://github.com/svanheulen/mhef to download tools.
Read readme and install some requirement program like pythin SDK.

then open cmd on tool folder. type this code

download_n3ds.py X JPN arc/quest/q1010002.arc test.arc

anyway you cant decrypt the file atm.

Though, there's something else besides your note. Not all of those values work on every talisman. They need to be the correct rarity.
