Hacking Messed up screw

I want to open the battery lid of my NDS to flash it, but the screw is resisting every attempt to be opened.
Here is a picture:

Any suggestions?

find a 'sharp point tip' cross-slot or Phillips screwdriver...

Get a small Phillips Scredriver, push in hard and open.

If it doesn't work DON'T KEEP TURNING as you will damage the screw AND the screwdriver

Yea that's pretty much how I damaged it already if you can't tell from the picture.
The screw is suppose to be all black
The silver parts had the paint chipped away

get a small screw driver, glob some super glue on the tip of the driver, hold it to the screw, let it dry and hope for the best lol.. i dont really recommend you trying this though. good luck!

you can always take small pliers and use those.

Go get a proper screwdriver for it aka glasses screwdriver. They cost something like $1-2 at your local walgreens/walmart/longs etc...
