I just ordered an Ambassador 3DS on eBay, and want to make sure I merge my two systems correctly.

My original system I want to preserve the streetpass, games, dlc, save data, and sd content

The ambassador system I want to preserve the games, dlc, and ambassador status, dont care about streetpass or sd content

How would I merge these?

Well then keep your other system. If you transfer the ambassador os it takes over the other system. You can't transfer single files like you can with the dsi. All or nothing.

Purchases will be combined though right?

I have been thinking of transferring my stuff over from my XL to the 2DS. Mostly because I bought Animal Crossing digitally and I hardly play it and keep the XL with me. I would like to let the kids have that game on the 2DS. I have a few other games, club nintendo downloads of Icarus and Excitebike, Gunman Clive, and Touch of balance. I would lose all those games and streetpass and everthing. My XL would be like factory reset?

Buying New Leaf digitally seemed like a good idea....always have the game to play here and there with out swapping carts....but man I almost feel like I have to buy the game again now just to let my kids play it. Lame.

Each system is a separate account, period. :(

Yes, your 3dsxl will be factory reset to nothing and the 2ds will inherit the exact system image (and all games etc.) of the 3dsxl.

You will need to connect both 3DS to the Internet and they will force you to update to the latest firmware. You can't system transfer without an Internet connection.

Damn, so there is no point in me getting a 3ds XL with 4.5

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, I may probably download fallout 3 or new vegas on my ps3
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
cuz I didnt like fallout 1 that much
