It patches the system menu to run under cIOS so it can run backups through the disc channel.

Though wouldn't you still have to run it every time you turn on your Wii? Or even after going back to the System Menu from a program/game?

The app was out but it was illegal

so he took it down and left the source for you to compile it oh so he says.

I guess it's not compiled to stop noobs from using it, I bet there are some news who can brick their Wii even with a tool that doesn't write anything to the NAND.

Actually I think it's cause he rushed and had to leave to go on Holidays that's why it's only the source. Anyway it's easy to compile menu patcher
