Hardware mention some very solid Gaming Laptop ?

Hey guys, i am so surprised by how many Console games are actually being ported over to steam (PC).
there are so many, made me wonder if i should jump into pc gaming.

would just like some solid gaming laptop that would play the console type games (such as nier/cold steel ,neptunia etc.) on pc with the best res it can etc.

even though i dislike gaming on pc, i would like to ask what are some 'cheap' options.
price range 500-800$ gaming laptop.

I think a modern apu-based laptop should be fine but i could be wrong. I'm saying this because the xbox one and ps4 both use older apu's.

No, it wouldn't be fine at all. Even the best Intel iGPU (the Iris Plus 650, which is only found in the U series CPUs afaik) is pretty much trash for gaming; a laptop equipped with a MX150 would be better. And I won't even start talking about AMD APUs.

OP, for that price, you can find low-mid tier gaming laptops (often equipped with an HQ i5/i7 and 1050/1050ti). First thing that comes to mind is the latest Asus Vivobook. Maybe you could find one that's normally higher priced for about $800 if there's some sale (happens frequently on online stores), like the MSI GL72 or the Lenovo Legion.
With that kind of PC, you should be able to play pretty much every game, although with some compromises (720p/900p) for the most demanding ones (like NieR). However, titles such as the Nep games or Trails of Cold Steel should run without any issues at 1080p.

oh i assumed a modern apu would run at console settings no issue with sufficient ram(8gb+) and hdd space. Thanks for clarifying!

XD haha, i forget to check my threads (i usually check quotes!).

some guys did reply here, let's see whats good.
i will save up for a laptop (have had my lenovo for over 6years now !)

it is on win10 is really fast for most things such as browsing/watching stuff, playing no high spec games?
and uhhhhmm working on documents (word/excel) all is fast with it.

but it is not a gaming laptop, and the screen has some white dots on it now in some areas.

i have no idea why but i used to look up laptops such as HP/VAIO with core i7 and all the "better" /"higher spec" jazz.
AND my 6 year old lenovo g580 which has only a i3 core, and a 2.2ghz /4gb ram still outperfomed those HP/VAIO laptops i checked on (they were from relatives, dead slow made me want to break them!).

so i have no idea which specs are the most important ones, i just want a speedy laptop that can be used for good gaming /would prefer a full HD laptop (a Full HD laptop is a must for me as my next laptop!).

The minimum I would go for would be a Quad-Core i5, 8Gb ram, 128gb ssd+a HDD, GTX 1050. This should handle 1080p gaming just fine.

Dell laptops are overpriced when you go for gaming specs.

I think your best bet is to try to save up for a higher price point, at around $1200 you can get a nice mid-tier gaming laptop. In your price range the best bang for your buck might be to get a used gaming laptop on the Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, I've seen several nice, used Asus ROG gaming laptops go for around $700.

If you must have new, either save up or check out some cheap Sager/Clevo laptops. I know there are a few available in that price range that will beat most other brands.
