Hardware memory stick problems

Recently brought a new memory stick (16GB) and i'm having some problems transferring
games / videos on it. Every time when i transfer games (FFVIII and FFIX) on it i get Corrupted data
it's like i can only use only 4-5GB on the thing even though iv formatted it several times is there any
solution to this or any way to fix it. Also just got dissidia 012 and trying to install data but keep getting
error 1/4 the way through any help.

using:
-memory stick pro duo 16gb magic gate(mark 2)
-psp 2000 (least OFW)

Any solution / help would much appreciated.

Make sure you're formatting the memory stick in the PSP. Formatting it with Windows into FAT or FAT32 won't work and will result in memory issues.

If you did that, then you may have gotten a bad memory stick. Is it an official Sony pro-duo?

That stick sounds soooo fake. Please don't say it's from ebay....

And go to your XMB, Memory Stick menu and push the Triangle button. MG supported or Unknown?
