Hacking Memory stick for jailbreaking psp

Hello,
I just bought a second hand psp 3003, and am looking to jailbreak. Do I need any special memory stick pro duo in order mod the psp?

I heard something about magic memory stick/magic gate but I have no idea what they are.

I'm looking to buy an unbranded 8gb memory stick pro duo from here:

Would it work fine or do I need an official sony brand? Are there any other requirements?

There is no jailbreaking a PSP. Just install CFW. Suggest using something from the Pro-B series or Pro-C if you don't mind PSX games not working right.

Do not buy unbranded cards.
Spend s few quid extra and get a 16 GB card from Sandisk from yer local store.

Never had a Memory Stick. Always used MicroSD to MS adapter.

Is that a common problem? I've always used Pro cfw but I've never has any issues with ps1 converted with psx2psp

I personally have never had trouble but it is a known issue unless the fixed it. It has to do with Pro-C version.

The problem only exists with Pro C2, and with PSX games from PSN: https://code.google.com/p/procfw/issues/detail?id=528

There's no problem with the earlier version, C fix3, and it was fixed in C2 in a later unofficial build

That's why you get the dual-card microSD adapter, and stuff two 16GB cards in there and just let the PSP format it into a 32GB monster memory card.
