I think Memory Pit exploits an flaw in the JPG parser of the album. Could that be work same on the 3DS camera app on the 3DS if there would be a modified JPG there?

What? There is already working stable ways that nintendo cannot patch of. Why would they care about something like this?

Nintendo can patch BannerBomb3 or DSiWareHax. The Steelhax or Pichaxx too if Nintendo updating there Softwares to patched versions that you can't downgrade back anymore

Every 3ds console out there has a vulnerable bootrom. Thats something they cannot take away unless completely new systems were produced.

No, it's a flaw in the parsing of the DSi's pit.bin (a photo database file).
The equivalent file in the 3ds camera app is phtcache.bin, and it isn't vulnerable. It's been checked by a lot of people, including me.

Yes, they can but they've ignored dsiwarehax for the last 21 months. Steelhax has been ignored since 2016.
Doesn't mean Nintendo might not change their mind and patch them, but it seems unlikely at this point.

Yes boot9strap can't be patched but it's requied a DSiWareHax or an ARM9 exploit to install them. (NTRBoot requies a flashcard = wasn't free)

Either way. There would likely be groups that would start up something to NTR extent. Some people wouldnt care about if it costs something if all else was to be patched. If people were to keep their wits about themselves on lower firms they still do have free ways in aswell.
