Memorable dlc?

I'm wondering if anyone ever has actually purchased any dlc that made it feel really worth it. I know these days everyone complains about microtransactions so I'm curious what made you feel like the extra story line or game play made it worth it.

The Dark Souls III DLC is quite memorable from what I remember, cosmetic DLC is a hit or miss for me

"Purchased" is a strong word but the Breath of the Wild DLC had some very memorable stuff like the Trial of the Sword, and the Final Trial of the Champion's Ballad.

Oh dude, let me tell you, the best DLC and most memorable DLC this past decade was the Booster Course Pass. Let me tell you, when I first saw that announcement 3 years ago, I was so pumped, I was jumping up and down, excited for more Mario Kart, I mean we started off with fucking Coconut Mall, I was already passing out of happiness, I thought we peaked there, but no no no no, literally months of free content, more tracks, ORIGINAL tracks, then we got NEW CHARACTERS.

Wave 6 was at my breaking point, because we got fucking DK Mountain, Daisy Circuit, SNES Bowser Castle 3 that was GOOD, FUCKING FUNKY KONG, AND HOLY SHIT . . . WII RAINBOW ROAD

I swear, if y'all known me back in 2023, I was addicted to Wii Rainbow Road, I love that shit like a son. The first time I played that track, I legit cried, like I realized now that this was the best Mario Kart because no other game is gonna make me cry of joy like Wii Rainbow Road, I was hugging everyone I know, Wii Rainbow Road made me love life

I molested my switch because that's how good Wii Rainbow Road and DLC altogether was

Debatable whether it qualifies, but the starcraft 2 only had terran campaign included, and the two others (zerg, protoss) as expansions years later. Though protoss is my main race, i can't deny that zerg campaign was just better.
(granted... Protoss can't utter two sentences without talking about 'destiny' or 'prophecy')

Smash 4 DLC Characters were worth it.
Bayonetta in Smash 4 was untouchable!

Splatoon 2 and 3 both had great DLC. The LittleBigPlanet series also had some good level packs, but they've since been delisted.

The DLC for the first Dark Souls was pretty neat. Artorias is a very cool character and a memorable boss.

Memorable DLC.....Destiny 1, since it was ALREADY on the fucken disk and Bunghole made us pay to unlock it later down the line.... Fuck allllll that and thensome that started a downwards spiral.

Two questions:
1) did the original content felt like it was missing important parts that were scrapped to charge more money later?
2) if so... Why did you buy it?
If not... Why do you hate it?

I get that it doesn't feel right or fair, but this whole 'they made us pay' sounds like it's an addict's complaint that he didn't get more freebies from his local drug dealer.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed for me. I already thought the base game was incredibly solid but then they hit me with what ended up being some of my favourite story content in the entire franchise with that DLC.

Almost all New Vegas DLCs are actually part of a same story that is hinted at in the base game.

They all added new Characters, perks, locations, enemies, individual ending cards, and at this point they are almost as cheap as the base game itself
