I couldn't post to the main MediCat thread for some reason. I received an error about posts with links being disallowed for new users. My post doesn't have any links but the thread I was posting to does, weird.

Hi,
First off, thanks so much. The most recent edition of Medicat is tremendous with plenty to explore.

I have a quick question or request. I'm not sure which is really needed. I use a college network that doesn't utilize a public key but instead uses WPA2 Enterprise, PEAP, without individual user certificates, but with a user name & password. I notice the network plugin only seems to support a public key login. Is that right? Is it possible to have the plugin support alternative login options that would meet my needs?

Also, an option to use a VPN after login that hopefully uses the Open VPN Standard would be a welcome option. If a VPN option is already included, I haven't come across it yet, so please ignore, but pointing me in the right direction would be hugely appreciated. Thanks again for providing the great tool. Have a merry holiday!

Your options in this case are largely dependent on the setup of your college network. I’ve seen many that use simple networking appliances and rely on Windows Server to manage access and security, and I’ve seen many that used enterprise grade ASAs, firewalls, etc, to manage access and security.

If you know what infrastructure is being used (e.g Meraki, Ruckus, Ubiquity, Purple, etc) then someone who knows more about networking might be able to help you figure it out.

Hi,
Unfortunately, I don't think campus network services is going to be forthcoming concerning details for login services; however, I hope this provides some clarity for what I need. Thanks for your time.
