media file convertor app for PS4

Hi guys

Can someone recommend a good freeware media file convertor app so I can convert 1 or 2 mp4 files so they can be watched on my PS4...I dont want to transcode, I just convert the files for good.

The mp4 files I have are the wrong format so I just want an app to convert them for me

You can use Pplay to play your videos on ps4, it even supports ts files https://github.com/Cpasjuste/pplay/releases

This works wonders. I needed something to play MKV files and this worked a treat

Thanks but I need to be able to play 360 degree ( VR ) video files which PPlay doesn't support...I think the only player that does is Sony's media player which is why I need to be able to convert the files ...can you think of any PC app that can convert video files into a format the PS4 built in media player can support ?

xmedia recode should be able to convert your videos in the right format
