Hi, I checked on the website but there is nothing about mclassic and switch. I really want to have some real user experience before purchasing the accessory!
Apparently it's not impressive on video, this is why I want a real user to tell me if it's worth the price.
Thanks

Hi! I bought it about two years ago. It definitely makes HD games look "smoother". It smooths over the jaggies. The effect is more noticeable in 480p games like those on Wii. Even though it was expensive and the effect isn't true AA, I am happy I bought it. Just set your HD games on Switch to 720p because that is when it works best. I also have a GPD Win 3, and it only runs games in 720p on my TV. The mclassic makes a difference in those games too.

Thank you for fast answer, I live in Japon so I'm gonna have it for 119 USD. I don't know about delivery time...
It's a "big" price but now I play only on TV and the 720p quality on docked is a joke when the switch is supposed to be 1080 p.

I don't know about my TV but at least if I can reach a consistent rate of 1080p it will be wonderful.

So you got 1440p with your 720p switch game? Is it like you can't play without now?

I checked my TV details, its an 1368X768 TV display I really don't know if it worth the try

1366x768 is about 51% of 1080p(1920x1080) and closer to 720p(1280 x 720).

Need to upgrade your screen to see improvements.
I definitely cannot change TV, I live in a furnished Japanese room and I can't change nothing... When I check TV's resolution it says 1080p so just want to know if the mclassic can improve my game even with this TV ( even just a few)

Yeah, I must confess I’m not up to speed on your lease agreement; I was merely commenting on your assessment of your TV’s resolution where you said:
“I checked my TV details, its an 1368X768 TV display”

but now you say:
“When I check TV's resolution it says 1080p”

Those are two vastly different resolutions which will get you different responses. You will definitely need to understand which resolution you have In order to determine if mclassic will help. :)

I have it for ages now, and I use it everyday. I still do not recommend to anyone.

When the thing came out it was one of the few solutions that would get a signal from an old console "HDMIzed" on a cheap converter and make this looks good. Today we have more alternatives.

For switch itself, it is not noticeable on most games. 2D games and cartoonish styled 3D will not reap the benefits of the mClassic, and those are the most prevalent games on Switch. If you have already use it, why not? But spend the price that thing costs you better off upgrading something else on your setup, like a controller or a speaker.

(If you buy it anyway, I suggest you to not use the USB ports on the dock, as they sometimes turn off very briefly, wich make the screen go black for a instant, and that is infuriating sometimes.

Thats not how resolution works on consoles sadly.

Switch can display up to 1080p when docked but resolution is on a game by game basis. Game resolutions are set by the developer on console devices so Mclassic can't suddenly boost the quality to 1080p locked. Mclassic is an image sharpener/smoother from what I've read, which can make things appear cleaner but its not going to suddenly make every game run at 1080p on Switch. That would require stronger hardware from Nintendo in a Switch revision (or an emulator with a decent PC.) Or maybe even some kind of solution found here through file changes/hacking similar to FPS changes through overclocking, no idea on that though. I

Switch hardware is simply old and pretty weak even from start so displays at 1080p and above will make the average switch game look a bit messy if they target anything under that . There isn't anything to do about it unless "Switch Pro" eventually comes out and has a pretty dang good upscaler solution like Xbox Series X has (which I super doubt it would knowing Nintendo)

I feel your pain though. Switch on a 4K TV is a mess for me. Especially after gaming on PC at 1440p and PS5 at 4k.

Sorry I'm a bit confused because I don't know much about it.
Basically the specifications of the TV are: 1368X768 , but the TV supports HDMI resolution is 1080i and 1080p.
In the settings of the switch I set it to 1080p and so when I press the button on my remote to display the resolution it says 1080p.

The TV brand is unitech visole LCH3212S

@lokomelo I read different blog that said xenoblade and the Witcher 3 are improved with the classic this is why I am interested actually!

@Valkri599 Unfortunately The switch device is so old, but if you trust classic they said the accessories can transform the resolution to 4K

Those kind of games are the one that benefit from mClassic. Even so it is not a huge difference, it feels like another layer of anti-aliasing. That's why I believe it do not worth it.
mClassic shows its true potential for Gamecube, Dreamcast and PS2. For later systems the gain is marginal.

(for whatever reason, the menus in Mortal Kombat XI are the only thing that really anyone can tell the difference with and without mClassic, that is the only exception to what I said about marginal mclassic gains on switch)
