Would you want it? What extra features do you think it should have? The 3D effect could be used in a interesting way. Discuss.

I think this game is going to be one of the 3ds' top sellers. I have always enjoyed the Mario and Luigi franchise, especially the gba ones. With extra 3d features and better graphics, this game is bound to be a blast.

Honestly, I loved this series... But I'd much rather have a Super Mario platformer.

Examples:

New Super Mario Bros. 3D
Super Mario Sunshine/Galaxy 3D

It wasn't announced yet, sadly.

Not happening for a while seeing they've got a new Paper Mario instead.

IMHO, the Mario and Luigi series is better than the Paper Mario series.
Paper Mario always seemed boring to me.

i see the HOME button completely useless
Er... what?
She means that if home works like on the wii, it would be rendered useless by start and select.

I prefer paper mario because of its humour, and I don't like rpg's.
The playing style (one button per character) of m&l is good though.

Home returns to the main menu of the Wii, so if the Home button of the 3DS works in a similar fashion, I can't see how it would be rendered useless by Start and Select.

Start and Select are game-specific, Home isn't.

when a battle starts stars come out in 3d
That's a bit unimaginative.
The series is known for the puzzles in it. The puzzles would be great in 3D!

Exactly. What we need is a really awesome game that makes great use of the 3D elements for gameplay mechanics, not just mere gimmicks.

Well, having puzzles that takes advantage of the 3D isn't really that great for those who can't see 3D due to their eyes... aaand, what if you set the slider on "none" ?

Ah, rats. I forgot about all those stereo-acute people out there. Good point.

As fo setting the 3D slider to "None", well, then, it's simple: Set it back to "3D".

as much as i'd LOVE this game, i always saw the mario & luigi games to be the portable version of the paper mario series... and if there is laready a paper mario, i dont necessarily think they would do it. but then again there IS enough difference in the series (2-d worldmap in paper mario, different art styles) that they could do it and i hope they will.
