A few years ago I soft modded my wii (mainly to install custom Mario kart tracks). After trying to install them my disc of the game stopped working. The game would show up on the menu but it would start into a black screen. I tried everything, even hard resetting my wii. Nothing worked. I just assumed that I ruined the rom on the disc. Well more recently I purchased a new copy of Mario kart and the same issue occurred. If anybody has any tips of if cios changes may help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

(Edit: when I said hard reset I meant factory reset)

You physical disc no longer works? It does not us a custom IOS so maybe you screwed up your original Wii IOSes.

Is there any thing I can do to fix it, or should I return my game (also other games work only Mario kart is broken)

I don't know. You posted nothing about your issue other than that the game didn't work. If you're using the real disc maybe try re-updating to the last system menu? There is never any reason an actual disc doesn't work other than a damaged disc or hardware problem.

If you're trying to run a backup your post is in the wrong forum. Backup discussions are not allowed in this one.
