Hacking Mario Kart issues

I have recently bought a DS with an M3 Sakura card, and when I'm playing Mario Kart DS, the screen goes black after one or two races and I have to restart. I've only really played Mario Kart on it so far, so I can't say for sure whether this happens on other games. It also can hang on the health and safety screen on boot-up, but this is less of an issue.

I've tried the same M3 card on a different DS, and an R4 in my DS and not had this problem.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Paper Shim - the contacts of the card are not making good contact in the DS
