Check the compatibility list. Mario Kart 8 doesn't work with any updates if launching through Mii Maker. It'll work just fine without updates.

You have to have the game to launch ssbb mode in loadiine. And yes, MK8 works great with updates and dlc using ssbb launch mode

I have the same issue stopped working after installing update I even uninstalled the game and update and then reinstalled it and still won't load frezzes on the mk8 flag animated start up any tips as I'm new to the whole homebrew apps and such

You have to switch the settings to SSBB then launch MK8. It will take you back to your system menu. Then launch SSBB. After a minute or two (I can't believe people still use loadiine) MK8 will launch with updates.

You go to settings and change the launch mode from mii maker to SSBB. But you can't do anything with it unless you have the SSBB disc or you have installed it digitally to the internal memory or on your USB Hard drive.

Can I ask you why you are using loadiine?

This is one of the reasons that Loadiine is outdated method. Why don't you use WUP Installer method? You can even play online with that.

Yes you can install using WUP Installer and then use that to launch MK8 but again...

WHY USE LOADIINE? It's an old outdated method to play games. Most users that stil use Loadiine are developers that want to test out their hacks.

Loadiine has been replaced with WUP Installer Method (Formally called "Brazilian Method).

Loadiine is slow, prone to corruption and you can't play online with Loadiine. Read my noob guide and learn how to use Wii U USB Helper and get your games installed that way. WAAAAAYYYYY better than old Loadiine method.

In your original post you say you replaced files with the update. This is loadiine. Not WUP installer or IOSU Hax so I don't know what your talking about.

Do this:

1. Download the full game with Wii U USB Helper.
2. Install it to internal memory or USB using WUP Installer
3. Download the update and DLC with USB Helper and install to the same location as the game using WUP Installer.
4. Make sure your in a CFW
5. Play your game online with full speed and compatibility

Forget about loadiine. Again, read my noob guide. You seem to be confused about quite a lot

I'll do your step by step but I deleted everything that mk8 had installed then I reinstalled it I used wup installer because loadiing doesn't work for me I'll give it ago now and see if it works I'll get back to ya

So you only post after the issue has been resolved to disprove someone's genuine help? What so problematic about Kafluke's assistance? They provided a solution and you just bash them.
