Hacking mario kart 7 with acekard2i

Hello, I have a 3DS version1.1.0-0U and acekard2i version1.8.7 running some games. I bought MarioKart7and requested update, I wonder what steps should I follow so I can enjoy the original game and not lose my acekard.

Should I upgrade the firmware for acekard first, AKAIO1.8.9 upgrade package second and then I update the 3DS with the game? Is it? Someone would indicate the correct sequence of packets?

Assuming that it's the same as the supercard dstwo, you need to update your acekard to the most current firmware and then update your 3ds.

Yep, always upgrade your AceKard before your 3DS, so you'll never lose the usage of it in case you don't have a DS Lite around.

DSTwo is in a class of its own.

The DSTwo is one of the few carts that can patch itself post-3DS update.
All other flashcarts you have/need to patch cart 1st, then 3DS update.

Either order will work but if you update before you patch your card then your going to have to do it via the site. Also we have stickys for this.

1. copy paste the NDS file to the ROOT of your SD card
2. run acekard start the NDS file
3. read everything on the screen
4. fellow the steps given.
5. Update your 3DS trough Mario Kart and done!
