i don't think it's brakkens fault if he gets infos about a project that doesn't get released. even a very well known name in the scene like emu_kidd says he is convinced that they are still working on it. but you are right. brakken sometimes gets information the wrong way or interprets it wrong. but as far as i know he never refused to correct his infos after he was told something better. on the other hand i don't like the bitching at any side. it's so childish, i could cry.

Sure it's not, but I guess he's a bit too enthusiastic when it comes to announce things.

Not going to deny that losing marcan is probably a bad thing for all of us, but the silving lining is we don't have to listen to him whine anymore.

Having said that, marcan strikes me as someone with a desperate need to create drama and gain others' approval, so I'd be VERY surprised if this lasts.

Who cares about drama anyway? Do what I do: Wait for new software. When it arrives, be thankful for it. Nobody has any idea what is really going on between people unless they're an actual party to it, so why bother making assumptions?

Anybody else currently contributing to the scene, who leaves in the future, will be missed.

how is the scene burning out when new things are being made all the time? USB Loader came out, what a week or two ago? That don't look like a scene that's burning out to me, dude.
Once bootmii is out, if it comes out the scene is going to pick up even more considering the freedom that thing allows.

Well, he isn't the only guy who can find exploits though he acts and talks like it's that way. Someone is bound to step forward with a new one.

All these people who Leave the "Scene" or Threaten to Leave over petty difference in Ethics/Coding pratices/violations of the GPL etc etc. are getting upset that other people are using/releasing/rewriting their code for purposes other then what they intended... ummm.. Does that Mean Nintendo will be leaving the Wii-Programming scene soon too?? Cause... I'm pretty sure that is EXACTLY what homebrew is.

Anyways. I know absolutely nothing about the drama that's going on here. If Marcan has contributed in anyway to the scene, whether he personally developed the wii, or found out how to clip box-art, Thanks for everything you've done. You made it possible in someway for lazy people like myself to get more out of their console then I could on Release day.

If at the end of the day you're happy and interested in what you have accomplished are working on. Don't let a bunch of faceless drones on the internet like myself deter you from what makes you happy. If they bash you.. ignore them. In the end, they mean absolutely bupkiss to the rest of your life. Go out with some friends, Drink a Beer, listen to some music, and if the mood strikes find a girl.

When your done come back and pick up where you left off (Well, or stay with the Girl... that's always a good option too.) but if you leave, leave because you've found something better, not because of some whack job on the internet.
